Mart Sander, a well-known musician, author, and filmmaker, has found inspiration in Italy for both his music and his cinematic work.

For the first time, he dedicates an art exhibition to Italy: “Italian Impressions” was created this spring while the author was in Italy several times searching for filming locations.

“Preparing for a film that tells the story of the Italian years of Estonian artist Johann Köler, I felt the same kind of inspiration he might have experienced: the desire to capture on paper even a few of those moments when nature and sunshine seem unique despite their timelessness,” Sander says.

The exhibition will be open in Cafe Katharinenthal, Weizenbergi 22, Tallinn, in the summer 2024.
